Cyclists Bike the Silk Road and Raise Funds for EFCA's Youth Projects in Tajikistan

EF Network’s most active donors, Ricard Salevik and Jean Frederic Gauvin, began a 16,000 kilometer bike ride from Oslo to Beijing in March. Wanting more than just adventure, they are using this opportunity to raise funds for social development projects in the region and have selected to work with Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) to support two youth income generation projects in Tajikistan.

The projects include providing vocational training on sewing and cooking to young women to help them start their own businesses and working with rural families to start bee-farming businesses.

As of today, the cyclists have crossed Europe to Istanbul and raised $17,000 for these projects. Do you want to join them in their efforts and make a difference for youth in Tajikistan? To make a donation via Network for Good, click on the button below. Under designation, simply write “Silk Road by Bike” and your generous gift will go directly to this project. You can also follow their travels and work on these projects at www.silkroadbybike.com. We admire their spirit and greatly appreciate the support!
