General Brent Scowcroft to Speak at Eurasia Foundation's Inaugural Fundraising Dinner

Eurasia Foundation will host its first annual fundraising dinner at Washington, D.C.’s Mayflower Hotel on January 12, 2010. Under the theme, “Celebrating Ordinary People and Extraordinary Achievements Throughout Eurasia,” the event will bring policymakers, ambassadors, media experts and advocates together to highlight the outstanding work being done throughout the Foundation’s Network. Event co-chairs, Eugene K. Lawson, former President of USRBC and founder of Lawson International, Inc., and his wife Stephanie promise an enjoyable and engaging evening among colleagues and friends.

General Scowcroft, one of the country’s leading experts on international policy, will serve as the event’s featured speaker. General Scowcroft has served as the National Security Advisor to both Presidents Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush. In this capacity, he advised and assisted a wide range of U.S. and foreign corporate leaders on global joint venture opportunities, strategic planning, and risk assessment.
